About Me
Keri Rusich is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience supporting children, teens, young adults, and families across a range of clinical settings. After years of working in intensive environments, including Bellevue Hospital Center, Keri developed expertise in helping clients navigate complex mental health challenges and life transitions. She went on to found a virtual therapy practice to provide more accessible, personalized care for tweens, teens, young adults, and parents. Her work is deeply rooted in a passion for helping individuals understand and navigate the impacts of ADHD and trauma, particularly how these experiences shape emotional regulation, relationships, identity, and daily functioning.
Keri earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Roger Williams University and her Master of Social Work from New York University, where she completed a focus in international perspectives in mental health. She completed extensive clinical training at The Henry Street Settlement, The Postgraduate Center for Mental Health, and Bellevue Hospital, and continues to pursue advanced education to stay current in evidence-based practices. She also holds a Postgraduate Certification in Advanced Assessment and Diagnosis from NYU and is a Certified Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (TF-CBT).
Her clinical approach is integrative, experiential, and tailored to each client’s needs, drawing from modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Somatic Experiencing, and Motivational Interviewing. Keri also incorporates principles of attachment theory and post-traumatic growth to help clients move beyond survival and toward meaningful change.
Keri specializes in working with ADHD, trauma, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and challenging child behaviors. She also has experience supporting individuals and families navigating obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), autism spectrum disorder, substance use, mood disorders, insomnia, and family conflict. Keri holds multiple state licenses, which allows her to work with people in different parts of the country.
Throughout her career, Keri has held roles as a social worker, psychotherapist, and clinical supervisor within Bellevue Hospital’s Juvenile Justice Program, and most recently served as a Clinical Supervisor in pediatric and medical settings. Her work is grounded in a deep commitment to creating a space where clients feel understood, supported, and empowered to build practical skills for managing emotions, handling stress, and creating lasting change.
